SSI scientists are leading experts in modeling the complex physics and chemistry in the molecular behavior of aurorally excited atmospheres, rocket plumes, vapor clouds, and chemical releases into the upper atmosphere. These modeling efforts provide unique insight and understanding into the processes that govern the radiation signatures which are observed.
